Community Initiatives

Sweet Candy Café and store owner, Felicia Evans Long, strive to give back to the community through various programs and initiatives. In additional to the programs listed below, Sweet Candy Café organizes donation drives for school supplies and contributes to relief efforts during times of national disasters such as Hurricanes Matthew and Florence.

Timothy Rodney Long Memorial Scholarship is awarded annually to a deserving student attending a New Jersey Preparatory Catholic school in Tim’s home state.

Candy Kids Wear Blazers (CKWB) is an entrepreneurship program for young girls that teaches them the concepts of business logistics, professionalism and hospitality.

Tim's Toys Project adopts 2 families each year, one in Newark, New Jersey, and one in Lumberton, North Carolina, and gifts then toys during the holidays season. The ages vary but anything from coloring books and dolls to gift cards are welcome and will be added to the items Sweet Candy Café has purchased for the families.
