Hello from Sweet Candy Cafe in Downtown Lumberton,
Oh Sugar! Hard to believe that we opened our doors in November 2012 and now we're marking our 6th store anniversary on November 24th in Historic Downtown Lumberton. In conjunction with ShopSmall Saturday, we planned a day filled with lots of sweet treats for our customers and community that includes balloons, cotton candy, and many other cool confectionery goodies.
Many thanks for your continued support of our small business. I know many of you helped us mark our 5th anniversary last year which was a day and evening event with lots of food, photo booth, whiskey, wine, and cigars. A big heartfelt thank you for all the love you showed us last year; it was truly an electric evening extravaganza.
A portion of the sales will got towards the Annual Timothy Rodney Long Memorial Scholarship Fund and awarded to a student in Newark, New Jersey. Sadly, my husband passed away suddenly while on a weekend trip in California. I honor his life with this scholarship; he was a Newark native.
